About Konica Minolta Planetarium "Sky"
Using the latest imaging and sound technology, enjoy a star theater that surpasses the beauty of a real starry sky.
Details
The planetarium located inside the Tokyo Skytree® uses the latest playback equipment, 4K projectors, and sound systems to faithfully present the colors and twinkling of each star, recreating a deep and beautiful starry sky.
The seating features reclining chairs that allow for a panoramic view of the dome screen. At the very front, there are three exclusive "New Moon Seats," which are premium seats designed for relaxation while enjoying the show, and they have received high praise. In addition to regular programs, there are popular live shows combining performances by renowned artists with starry sky visuals called "LIVE in the DARK," as well as special programs for adults, such as the "Healing Planetarium," which features custom scents throughout the venue (entry is not allowed for preschool children), that are also very well received.
All seats are equipped with multilingual audio services. If you bring your own wired headphones, you can listen to audio guides in English and Japanese while enjoying the planetarium show (some programs do not have audio guides). The attached gift shop offers original products designed with themes of the starry sky and universe, including cosmetics, miscellaneous goods, and snacks for selection.
