The mountain Mokoto, which created Lake Kussharo, is famous for a massive volcanic eruption in ancient times, with volcanic ash that could cover all of Hokkaido. Surrounded by rich natural environments, Lake Kussharo is fed by springs, with 80% of its water source coming from these natural springs, making its water quality exceptionally well-known. It is also a popular spot for water activities such as sailing and canoeing. From the observation deck at Bihoro Pass, which is at an altitude of 525 meters, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Kussharo.
