📝 Introduction

Located in the metropolitan center, the ocean resort features a vast artificial white sand beach.

📖 Details

The Hakata Bay waterfront area is home to iconic Fukuoka landmarks such as the "Fukuoka Tower" and "PayPay Dome," exuding a modern atmosphere. The "Momochihama Seaside Park," located along Momochihama Beach, features an artificial beach that stretches approximately 1.5 kilometers. This expansive and pristine beach is hard to imagine being situated in an urban environment. Visitors can enjoy beach activities such as swimming, beach volleyball, and soccer. Every summer, a large number of tourists flock here, creating a lively atmosphere. At the center of the beach is the commercial facility "Marizon," which includes restaurants, shops, and a wedding chapel floating on the sea. It also serves to divide the beach into swimming areas and beach sports zones. *The swimming area is only on the eastern side of Momochihama. Swimming is permitted until September 1, with operating hours from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The daytime scenery, where surrounding buildings intertwine with the white sandy beach and azure sea, and the nighttime view, where streetlights reflect on the water, are both stunning and highly recommended for photography (commercial photography requires prior application).

⭐ Highlights

Located in the metropolitan area, the beach is convenient for inclusion in sightseeing itineraries in Fukuoka City. In addition to swimming, there are various beach activities available. It is an excellent photo spot both day and night (commercial photography requires prior application).
