🍜 Nagawa Tofu Shop

📝 Introduction

Originally a barbershop, it is now a famous handmade tofu shop in Ginzan Onsen.

📖 Details

The Ganso Ginsan Tofu Shop is located next to the "Waraku Foot Bath" at the entrance of Ginsan Onsen. The shop has a sign that reads "Tofu Shop" hanging at the entrance, resembling a private residence, and next door used to be a barbershop. Upon entering the foyer, there is a counter where you can place your order directly. The shop sells handmade cotton tofu, with limited quantities available. On cold days, the recommended warm dishes are the "Tate Shoku Tofu," known for its smooth texture, and the "Tate Shoku Fried Fresh Tofu," which has a crispy outer layer and a fluffy inner layer. If you want to try cold tofu, the "Tate Shoku Tofu" is also recommended. Additionally, there is the rare "Tofu Ten," which incorporates tofu into the process of making jelly, offering a rich tofu flavor and smooth texture. Local beer, "Yamagata Beer," is also available for sale, and it is suggested to buy some beer to enjoy while soaking your feet in the Waraku Foot Bath. The shop closes once the products are sold out, so it's best to visit early.
