This is the first store opened in Tokyo by "Nakamura Tokichi Honten," a Japanese tea specialty store established in the first year of Ansei (1854) and located in Uji, Kyoto. Situated in "GINZA SIX," the largest shopping center in the Ginza area, it attracts many customers who stop by while shopping or on dates, as well as numerous domestic and international tourists, often resulting in long queues. After passing through the noren (traditional fabric divider) marked with the store's name "Maruto," guests are served a seasonal welcome tea, allowing them to take a moment to relax.
The signature dish "Nama Chagashi [Shinsui]" is a popular product that features the bright and beautiful color of matcha, complemented by a fresh and smooth texture, as well as the sweet and bitter notes of premium matcha. In addition to the rich matcha ice cream, the Ginza store-exclusive set, which includes matcha red bean paste, black beans, and chestnut honey, is also a must-try. Moreover, the "Special Maruto Sundae," made with the finest matcha, boasts a delicate sweetness and deliciousness, along with an elegant aroma, making it a limited item only available here. In addition to Japanese tea desserts, light meals such as tea soba noodles are available, which are perfect when you're feeling hungry.
