Noro Mountain is part of the "Setonaikai National Park," one of Japan's earliest designated national parks established in 1934. With an elevation of 839 meters, Noro Mountain has long been revered as a sacred mountain by the local people. At the summit, there are the "Kabuto Rock Viewing Platform" and the "Starry Sky Viewing Platform," while along the hiking trails, the "Hachiwaki Viewing Platform" offers a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea. Within Setonaikai National Park, visitors can also enjoy unparalleled beautiful scenery. Not only can one see giant rocks and strange formations, but also the rocky sea formed about 8,000 years ago after a volcanic eruption and shaped by the Ice Age, as well as ice pools located near the summit, all of which allow one to feel the power of nature. Noro Mountain is equipped with hiking trails, nature trails, and walking paths, making it easy for travelers to enjoy leisurely hikes. At the summit area, there are well-equipped facilities such as a campsite and a visitor center that serves as a resting point for walkers.
