In the Miyako dialect, "PAI" means south, and "NAGAMA" refers to a long beach, which is why it is commonly referred to as "PAINAGAMA," although its official name is "Minami Nagama Beach." The biggest charm of this beach lies in its convenient accessibility. It is within walking distance from the center of Miyakojima, making it easy to reach. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, providing amenities to meet the needs of recreational activities. The clear and transparent sea is truly spectacular. The contrast between the calm waves and the white sandy beach is breathtaking. Enjoy splashing around in the gentle swaying waves. In the summer, there are protective nets to guard against box jellyfish, so please be careful not to cross the boundaries. There are also walking paths near the beach, allowing for a leisurely stroll in the refreshing sea breeze, which is extremely pleasant.
