📖 Details
Tottori Prefecture is the only region in Japan where Starbucks has not opened a store. In 2014, a local business was inspired by Governor Shinji Hirai's remark, "There is no Starbucks, but there is Sunaba (砂地)," to open its first location. The first store closed temporarily in 2019 but reopened that same year at a new location as the "New Tottori Station Front Store."
The signature "Sunabaked Coffee" features Brazilian coffee beans roasted with sand from the Tottori Sand Dunes, slowly extracted using a siphon method, showcasing a perfect balance of bitterness, a smooth texture, and a refreshing aftertaste. There are also various drinks such as the "Sunaba Coffee Special Blend," made from a mix of coffee beans from four different countries, and "Café au Lait" made with Daisen milk. The coffee beans are personally selected by the owner, highlighting their dedication to quality coffee.
The store offers a morning set menu, as well as meals like "Medicinal Curry with Daisen Herb Chicken" and "Sunaba Hot Dogs," along with various desserts such as waffles and parfaits.
