"猿田彦珈琲" (Sarutahiko Coffee), a specialty coffee shop that embodies the concept of "happiness attainable with just a simple cup," opened in June 2011 in Ebisu, Tokyo. The coffee beans are carefully selected by President Asayuki Otsuka and his staff, and are sourced through direct trade. From roasting the beans to brewing the coffee, they provide their services with a sense of dedication and pride. With multiple branches centered around the Tokyo metropolitan area, it has become a well-loved establishment with many fans.
In April 2021, "猿田彦珈琲" opened its first store in Nara. Located on the first floor of the highly regarded complex "Shika Saru Kitsune BUILDING," operated by the long-established Nara craft store "Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten," it has attracted coffee enthusiasts from the Kansai region.
In addition to top-quality specialty coffee, "猿田彦珈琲" also offers its own brand of ice cream, "TiKiTaKa ICE CREAM," as well as original curry dishes. The shop has become a beloved place for both local residents and tourists in Nara, serving as a space for relaxation and social interaction.
