Shinzan Toge Art Park is located on the national highway at the border of Kamifurano and Biei Town, and it is a complex facility full of fun activities. In the main facility, the "Illusion Art Museum," you can see works that appear to leap off the flat surface and pieces that change shape depending on the angle, showcasing numerous amazing works of illusion art. It’s not just about viewing; you can also take photos with touchable artworks, making it an experiential art museum with diverse ways to play. Inside the park, there is the "Tokachidake Art View," a Ferris wheel that rises 50 meters high, offering an unobstructed view of Furano. There are also observation decks and scenic spots that provide panoramic views of the majestic Tokachidake mountain range, showcasing different landscapes throughout the seasons. The observation deck is equipped with an artistic photo frame perfect for social media. Not only is there plenty to see and do, but the food options are also abundant. You can enjoy the view from a roofed terrace while savoring the local specialty pork "Kamifurano Pork" and Genghis Khan barbecue (reservation required) at the barbecue terrace; there is also a dessert workshop famous for its Italian ice cream and cheese tarts made with local ingredients. Additionally, the park features an art experience area that can be completed in as little as 30 minutes, along with a shop selling Furano souvenirs, allowing you to spend a pleasant and fulfilling day.
