Highlights
The park is filled with flowers, grass, and trees all year round. In spring, there are cherry blossoms (櫻花) and tulips (鬱金香), while in summer, you can find water lilies (睡蓮) and sunflowers (向日葵). In autumn, there are maple leaves (楓葉) and osmanthus (桂花), and in winter, camellias (山茶花) and plum blossoms (梅花) bloom.
A recommended photo spot is the "Hill of Flowers" (花之丘), which covers an area of about 15,000 square meters. In spring, it is filled with poppies (罌粟), and in autumn, it transforms into a sea of cosmos (波斯菊).
You should also visit the "Flower and Tree Garden" (花木園) and its "Herb Garden" (香草園), where you can experience the fragrance and charm of herbs through touch and smell.
Enjoy exploring the Japanese garden (日本庭園) that represents Japan's unique aesthetic, as well as the National Bonsai Museum (国立盆栽園).
In the "Children's Forest" (兒童森林) within the park, there are numerous play facilities for kids and various adventure activities.
The park is vast, so it is recommended to rent a bicycle (available for a fee) or take the park's mini train (also available for a fee) to move around the area.
The park's shop sells various light snacks, as well as seasonal limited treats and local souvenirs from Tachikawa (立川).
