🗺️ Shutsui Park

📝 Introduction

The hometown of the famous spring water from the natural gift of Mount Yangti.

📖 Details

The rain and snow that fall on Mount Yotei over the years become renowned water, and this natural gift flows from the Shutsui Park. The water is rich in minerals and can be freely drawn from various locations within the park. This abundant renowned water flows at a rate of about 80,000 tons per day, maintaining a temperature of around 6.5 degrees Celsius throughout the year, providing a refreshing experience in the summer. It has been selected as one of the "One Hundred Famous Waters of Japan." Even in midsummer, the park remains cool. In addition to the suspension bridge, which is a favorite among children, there are also resting huts and outdoor terraces suitable for relaxation. Climbing the stairs facing Mount Yotei leads to an observation deck where you can overlook the park and the entire Kyogoku Town. Don't miss the "Thirty-Three Kannon Statues," built by the head priest of Kyogoku Town in the early Showa period. At the adjacent roadside rest area "Meisui no Sato," the "Meisui Plaza" offers a variety of local specialties. In the restaurant, you can also enjoy dishes made with the renowned water.
