About Starbucks Kobe Kitano Ijinkan Store
The Starbucks that has been remodeled from the Ijinkan Kitano Monogatari, which is designated as a tangible cultural asset.
Details
In the Kitano area of Kobe, many early European and American residences stand, and this Starbucks is located among them. It is one of the "Starbucks Regional Landmark Store Series," featuring architectural designs in symbolic locations across Japan that convey the culture of the area to the world.
The store is transformed from the wooden two-story Western-style mansion, Kitano Monogatari, built in 1907. After dismantling the original house, it was relocated and rebuilt at its current site in 2000, and it has been registered as a tangible cultural asset.
The wooden store logo was specially designed for this location. The interior utilizes period furnishings and wooden flooring to create a unique space. There are several rooms differentiated as a lounge, restaurant, and guest room, each decorated to reflect a different atmosphere. It is recommended to find a room you like and leisurely enjoy a drink or dessert.
