🗺️ STUDIO SEDIC Shonai Outdoor Shooting Location

📝 Introduction

Many filming locations for movies are outdoor shooting sites.

📖 Details

STUDIO SEDIC is located at the foot of Mount Tsukiyama and is an outdoor filming location built for movie shoots that is open to the public. The expansive 88-hectare site features themed scenes including a fishing village, a farming village, a post town, and mountain villages. So far, many films such as "Departures," "Rurouni Kenshin," and the "Yuusha Yoshihiko" series have been shot here. Wearing a kimono or ninja costume to experience a role-playing photo shoot that feels like traveling through time is also very popular (prior application is required). There is a park bus operating within the premises, allowing for a more efficient tour of the outdoor filming locations. During film shoots, the filming content may be open for viewing; if it is not open or there are special regulations, please follow the instructions of the staff on site.

⭐ Highlights

You can visit the film set used for shooting period dramas. You can transform into a character and take photos in the scene (prior application required). The roads for shooting are unpaved, so please wear suitable walking shoes.
