The Taiji Whale Museum, located in Taiji Town, Wakayama Prefecture, is a museum dedicated to the introduction of whales. The museum spans three floors and features themes such as "the relationship between humans and whales" and "whales from a biological perspective," showcasing a wealth of information about these magnificent creatures. Among its impressive exhibits are the real full-body skeletons of a humpback whale and an orca displayed in the atrium, as well as a spectacular three-dimensional model recreating traditional whaling. The museum also features a pool built using the natural bay, covering a total area of 11,815 square meters. Here, visitors can enjoy a unique performance by the sperm whale, whose enormous body leaps almost entirely out of the water in a magnificent display.
