📝 Introduction

A mysterious lake known as the "Five Color Pond."

📖 Details

Lake Yunotai is located at the westernmost end of Akan Mashu National Park. The color of the lake changes into five different hues depending on the season, time, and perspective, earning it the nickname "Five Colored Marsh." The circumference of the lake is about 2.5 kilometers, and a short walk around it takes approximately 40 minutes, during which you can enjoy the vibrant scenery along the way. The most commonly seen color is cobalt blue, but during the season when the mountains and forests turn emerald green, the lake reflects the green landscape and appears green. In the autumn foliage season, the bright red leaves are mirrored on the lake's surface, giving it a red hue. Depending on the time of day or season, you can also see purple or white. Just a leisurely walk allows you to feel the infinite power that nature bestows. Lake Yunotai is a masterpiece of nature, and if you have the chance to visit Hokkaido, it is highly recommended to see it with your own eyes.
