The terrain varies from gentle slopes to steep drops, with dramatic ups and downs, resembling a roller coaster. In the distance, you can see the Tokachidake mountain range, surrounded by vast rural landscapes. This area is considered a must-visit destination in Hokkaido by many travelers, making it one of the most popular tourist spots. Moreover, not only is the scenery along the road beautiful, but taking the side paths can also lead to rare and stunning views, which adds to its appeal. In winter, the entire area is covered in pure white snow, showcasing a beauty that is different from other seasons.

Recognized by the local residents as one of the "Eight Scenic Views of Kamifurano." It is recommended to take the small paths on foot to enjoy different scenery during your visit. Since it is a regular road, please do not stop your car midway when driving to the area. In winter, about half of the "Roller Coaster Road" is not cleared of snow, and driving is prohibited in the snow-covered sections, so please be especially cautious.
