Details
Tokyo Port Wild Bird Park is a park built on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay, covering an area of approximately 360,000 square meters. The park boasts a rich and diverse natural ecological environment, featuring tidal pools connected to the sea, freshwater ponds, streams, and forests, where around 120 species of wild birds can be observed year-round. There are several observation huts within the park for close-up bird watching. In addition to wild birds, many aquatic creatures and insects can also be found.
The park includes a nature center with an observation hall equipped with telescopes and other facilities. From the viewing windows of the hall, visitors can enjoy the natural ecology of birds in the wetland environment.
Visitors can also relax on the spacious lawn area while enjoying a bento, spending a soothing time in nature. There are no restaurants or shops within or around the park, so it is recommended to bring a bento or food before visiting.
Highlights
There are several observation huts where you can watch birds near the water and in the mountains. You can borrow telescopes and binoculars for free at the nature center.
