🗺️ Utsunomiya Zoo

📝 Introduction

A zoo themed around the closeness to "nature, animals, and children."

📖 Details

Utsunomiya Zoo is located in the northern part of Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, and is a zoo where visitors can have close encounters with animals. With the management philosophy of "Nature, Animals, Children," it allows both adults and children to learn about the various lifestyles of animals while observing them. The zoo is home to 90 species, totaling 400 animals. Among them are fierce creatures like the Siberian tiger and lions, as well as herbivores such as giraffes and elephants, along with smaller animals like monkeys, birds, and reptiles. In the "Intimate Square" within the zoo, visitors can interact closely with gentle and adorable animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. By purchasing feed, visitors can directly feed the giraffes and elephants. Utsunomiya Zoo also features an amusement park, which includes fun attractions like a Ferris wheel and a lion-themed roller coaster. In the summer, a seasonal children's pool is open, and in the winter, there is a trout fishing pond, making it a great place for families to enjoy together. After a day of fun, it is recommended to take a break at the café within the zoo, or visit the souvenir shop to purchase cute animal plushies and various treats like animal-shaped cookies.
