About Yamanashi Prefectural Flower Center Heidi Village
Recreate the world of the animation "Little Angel"! Let all visitors find healing in nature.
Details
The television anime "Heidi" is adapted from the German novel series "Heidi" (originally titled "Heidi: Her Years in Switzerland") published by Swiss author Johanna Spyri between 1880 and 1881. The story is set in the Alps and depicts the growth of the young girl Heidi. Elements such as hay beds, natural scenery, and the melted cheese that always appears during meals have left a lasting impression on many readers who long for the world of Heidi.
At the Yamanashi Prefectural Flower Center Heidi Village, visitors can experience the world of the story and enjoy the changing flowers and natural landscapes of the seasons. A 4-meter-long three-dimensional model from Dorfli to Frankfurt, hay beds, and small houses in the Alps are perfectly recreated in the park. Guests can also enjoy Swiss cheese fondue made with Swiss cheese in the restaurant, as well as pick fresh strawberries during the harvest season.
In 2014, the "Onsen Restaurant Inn Clara Building" officially opened within the facility, allowing guests to relax in the hot springs after a day of fun. There are 11 rooms available, including a classic Western-style room inspired by the home and furniture of the Sesemann family, and a Japanese-style room where guests can relax with plush toys of Peter and Joseph. Children can also borrow costumes of Heidi, Clara, and Peter during their stay to dress up as the characters and enjoy the fun of role-playing.
