🗺️ Yanaka Mizuno Komichiやなか水のこみち

Located in the Nakano region of Gifu Prefecture, it is a symbolic attraction of Gujo Hachiman. Situated upstream of the Nagara River, Gujo Hachiman preserves the streets of its former castle town, earning it the nickname "Little Kyoto of Omi." Historically, the area has had waterways to prevent fires. Utilizing the water from the Yoshida River that flows through the streets of Gujo Hachiman, multiple canals have been created, which is why Gujo Hachiman is also known as the "City of Water." This park-like street allows one to feel the connection between water and people, with willow trees lining the streets and a path paved with pebbles, creating a unique charm. The road is made up of about 80,000 pebbles sourced from the Nagara River and Yoshida River.
