The Yokohama Museum of Art features seven exhibition halls, an art resource center with over 110,000 volumes, and an art workshop that can host various research and exchange activities. The museum showcases modern and contemporary art, photographic art, and various special exhibitions themed around Yokohama as an international port city. The collection is quite extensive, including masterpieces from world-renowned artists such as Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, and Paul Cézanne, as well as outstanding works by Japanese artists associated with Yokohama. Additionally, it also features works by emerging artists from both Japan and abroad. The museum shop offers around 1,000 different original products inspired by the museum's collection. The permanent exhibition typically showcases 100 to 200 pieces. The symmetrical stone exterior and the 20-meter high foyer are very eye-catching. The café inside offers drinks and light meals, and features unique dishes that align with the exhibition themes.
