📖 Details

Tokyo Yomiuri Land is an amusement park with over 50 years of history, located at the border between Inagi City in Tokyo and Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture. It takes about 30 minutes to reach Yomiuri Land from Shinjuku by train, making transportation very convenient. In addition to various amusement rides, there are exciting activities such as a summer water park and a large winter illumination show. Both adults and children can enjoy themselves here all year round. After arriving at "Keio Yomiuri Land Station," it is recommended to take the cable car "Sky Shuttle" to the entrance of the amusement park. Along the way, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park from above. Yomiuri Land showcases charming landscapes that change with the seasons. There are many indoor attractions in the park, so you can have fun even on rainy days. Visiting Yomiuri Land in spring, it is recommended to ride the popular roller coaster "Bandit," which allows you to speed through the cherry blossoms at a breathtaking speed of 110 km/h, experiencing what is known as "the fastest cherry blossom viewing" journey. In summer, the "Water Park POOL WAI" is recommended, featuring five pools and three water slides. You can challenge the giant water slides with friends or let the little ones play in the shallow area. The nighttime pool is also a great place for couples to date; the "Goodjoba!! Zone," a hands-on experience area in collaboration with major companies, is also very popular. Every November in autumn is the most beautiful time for maple leaves at Yomiuri Land. The view from the cable car or the Ferris wheel (set to open in autumn 2024) is particularly stunning. Additionally, Yomiuri Land's Halloween events are quite rich and interesting; the "Gem Illumination Show" held every winter is one of Japan's most notable light shows. It is designed and produced by the world-renowned lighting designer Mikako Ishii, who has also worked on the illumination designs for the Eiffel Tower and Tokyo Tower. During the illumination show, the entire amusement park sparkles with lights, creating an enchanting and dreamy atmosphere.

⭐ Highlights

The "Gem Lantern Show," held annually from late October to early April, is an unmissable highlight. The "Goodjoba!! Area" in the amusement park is Japan's largest production experience zone. Here, you can participate in various crafting activities, making it perfect for family outings. There are many attractions suitable for children aged 3 and above, with a height of over 90 cm. The amusement park features numerous restaurants and shops, where you can purchase original merchandise from Studio Ghibli. It is highly recommended to buy a "one-day pass," which offers great value, allowing unlimited access to various attractions throughout the day.
