Details

The Chibi Maruko-chan Land is located in Shizuoka Prefecture, the hometown of the author of the beloved manga "Chibi Maruko-chan," Momoko Sakura. It is the only "Chibi Maruko-chan" museum in Japan, divided into three areas. The first area is the "Maruko's Daily Life" zone. From the entrance, visitors can see a wall painted with Maruko's school and sketches of Shimizu's streets. Continuing forward, you can find character introductions of the Sakura family, as well as recreations of the worlds from the manga, including the Sakura home, school, and park. The second area is the "World Full of Dreams" zone, where you can experience the worldview of the original opening theme song "World Full of Dreams" from the 1990 anime. Here, you can see the curtain of the "Sweets Shop Sanya" and a three-dimensional model of "Maruko and the Dream Tram," bringing the animated world from the theme song to life. The third area is the "Maruko's Dream Amusement Park" zone. Accompanied by the opening theme song "Let's Dance Together" from the 2000 anime, you can enjoy light sculptures projected onto a model of Mount Fuji, filled with clever designs. Additionally, there is a free area that features a shop selling original merchandise, a charming golden Maruko statue, and a "Chibi Maruko-chan Mailbox" where you can stamp the original postal seal of Chibi Maruko-chan Land.
