Established for about 50 years, this restaurant primarily offers yakiniku featuring Kumano beef. Kumano beef refers to the brand of Wagyu cattle raised in the Kumano region of southern Wakayama Prefecture. Only beef that meets strict standards can be called Kumano beef, and to maintain quality, even the restaurants that serve Kumano beef are carefully selected. Hige Yakiniku is the only designated yakiniku restaurant for Kumano beef in Wakayama Prefecture. The melt-in-your-mouth delicious fat of Kumano beef is irresistible. Due to its limited availability, the restaurant also offers carefully selected black-haired Wagyu from various regions across Japan. You can enjoy various cuts such as sirloin, belly, and short ribs, paired with the restaurant's secret sauce that has been passed down since its establishment. During lunch hours, they offer a variety of economical set meals. Additionally, there is a rich selection of beverages, including about 40 types of wine, around 50 types of authentic shochu, and various whiskies. The restaurant features a bar counter, dining tables, and tatami seating, allowing guests to choose according to their preferences. There are also private rooms available for a leisurely dining experience.
