BEER HALL LION, located in the Tanukikoji area, opened in the 3rd year of Taisho (1914). Sapporo is the place where the Japanese first began brewing beer, and today’s BEER HALL LION was established to taste the beers produced in Sapporo. The baron lion, which symbolizes the establishment, welcomes customers from the balcony, and the interior exudes the atmosphere of the Taisho era along with a so-called Western-style design. In this nostalgic setting where many have raised their glasses, sipping on traditional draft beer, which is served with a single pour, becomes even more delightful. The main offerings include SAPPORO Black Label Draft Beer and SAPPORO CLASSIC Draft Beer, allowing guests to enjoy various types of beer and delicious dishes. Among them, the SAPPORO LAGER BEER, designed with a red star logo inspired by the North Star and commonly known by the nickname "Akaboshi" (Red Star), is a classic popular product that has been passed down since its launch. The dishes are made using Hokkaido ingredients, featuring lamb and potato dishes that pair well with the beer.

Established to enjoy the pioneering beers of Hokkaido, it is the oldest beer hall in Hokkaido. The shop's decor features a Western-style design from the Taisho era. Various types of beer, including the red star logo of Akaboshi SAPPORO LAGER BEER, are available.
