About Benkei Fishing Club
A city fishing spot that can be easily enjoyed by everyone from beginners to professional anglers.
Details
Hidden in a corner of the moat outside Edo Castle, surrounded by the Akasaka Imperial Palace to the east, the metropolitan expressway, and skyscrapers, is a recreational facility where you can fish from a boat or from the dock. Despite being located in the bustling metropolis near Akasaka Mitsuke and Nagatacho, it is beloved by fishing enthusiasts for its natural, lush waterside oasis.
Boat fishing primarily uses lures or flies to catch black bass, or bait to catch carp, crucian carp, rainbow trout, and more. You can enjoy the authentic experience of boat fishing by carefully maneuvering the rowboat and casting your line after judging the spot. For those who find boat fishing challenging, there is also a bait fishing pond enclosed by a pier where you can catch various fish such as carp, crucian carp, rainbow trout (in winter), grouper, and bluegill sunfish. Additionally, there is a goldfish fishing pond suitable for children, making the facilities quite comprehensive.
Both lure and bait fishing rods are available for rent (for a fee), and you can also use the rowboats solely for sightseeing.
