Chiba City Zoo houses and displays approximately 123 species, totaling 769 animals (as of late January 2021), including mammals, birds, fish, and more. The park features areas such as the monkey zone, small animal zone, and bird and waterfowl zone. Additionally, there are facilities designed especially for children, such as the "Children's Zoo," the educational and entertaining "Animal Science Museum," and the "Petting Zoo," where visitors can have close interactions with animals. Chiba City Zoo places special emphasis on the protection and care of primates, particularly in the breeding and nurturing of endangered species. The variety of animals on display is quite extensive, ranging from fierce large animals like carnivorous beasts and raptors to small animals that are easily approachable even by children. In addition to observing animals, visitors can experience horseback riding and feeding small animals at the "Animal Interaction Village." There are also recreational facilities such as a café and barbecue area, allowing visitors to relax and dine after their visit.

The park is dedicated to the protection and care of primates from around the world. In the small animal area, there is a famous red panda named "Fūta," known for its adorable standing posture. In the "Animal Interaction Village," visitors can have close contact with the animals, and there are also playgrounds and amusement facilities for children. In the facility called "Dai Pond," you can observe wild birds such as little wild ducks and kingfishers flying freely.
