🗺️ Chōtai Ranch (Management Building Observation Deck)城岱牧場（管理棟展望台）

The Jodai Ranch was established in the 9th year of the Taisho era, originally known as the Murayu Pasture and Wild Grass Farm. It is now a municipal ranch covering an expansive 160 hectares of grassland. Within the ranch, cows graze freely on the pastures, creating a picturesque rural landscape. At an altitude of 500 meters, there is also the newly established Jodai Ranch "Management Building Observation Deck" from 2012. From the large windows of the observation deck, you can see the vast Onohira Plain to the southwest, where during the day, the lush green pastures of early summer and the fiery red leaves of autumn create a breathtakingly beautiful scene, resembling a landscape painting. Additionally, in the evening, the spot is famous for its "Ura Night View (Nanasei Night View)," where you can enjoy a dazzling night view that sparkles like jewels. The observation deck is equipped with tourist brochures and a free resting area, making it a great stop for those traveling by car. Please note that from mid-November to late April, access may be suspended due to snow, so be particularly cautious.

The indoor observation deck of Jodai Ranch, established in 1920 (Taisho 9), offers a panoramic view from an altitude of 500 meters, overlooking Mount Hakodate to the south and the Ono Plain to the southwest. It is a popular spot for viewing the "Ura Night View (Nanahoshi Night View)" at night. The observation deck is equipped with tourist brochures and a free resting area. Access is suspended from mid-November to late April due to snowfall.
