📜 Content

Nagoya TV Tower stands approximately 180 meters tall and was built in 1954 as Japan's first concentrated broadcasting tower, becoming a landmark of Nagoya. After the transition to digital television signals in 2011, Nagoya TV Tower also concluded its mission as a broadcasting tower. In 2020, a large-scale renovation of the tower was completed, giving rise to a hotel on the 4th and 5th floors. From May 2021, Nagoya TV Tower reopened under the new name "Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER." At the indoor observation deck "Sky Deck," located 90 meters above ground, visitors can enjoy the cityscape of Nagoya and the distant mountains. The beautiful iron tower has also been certified as a "Japanese Night View Heritage." The observation deck features mirrored windows on the ceiling and floor, creating a dazzling and colorful scenery through the reflections of light and shadow. Additionally, the outdoor observation deck "Sky Terrace," located 100 meters above ground, is an open space without windows, allowing visitors to experience the sensation of overlooking the city of Nagoya while feeling the wind. The tower's hotel, "THE TOWER HOTEL NAGOYA," utilizes the original design elements of mortar, brick walls, and steel frames from the old tower, creating charming guest rooms. The interior decoration and lighting feature artworks and crafts created by artists associated with the Tokai region, making each room a unique and artistic space. The tower also houses a restaurant and café, as well as a souvenir shop where visitors can purchase original products from the TV tower. Particularly, the first floor, which almost merges with the nearby Hisaya Odori Park, is a vibrant and open space full of energy.
