🗺️ Cold Wind Mountain Rotating Observation Deck寒風山回転展望台

The Kankofu Mountain Rotating Observation Deck is located at the connection point of the Oga Peninsula, with an elevation of 355 meters. At the summit, the observation deck offers unobstructed views despite its relatively low height, making it a great spot to enjoy stunning scenery. Inside the observation deck, there is a restaurant and a gift shop, as well as exhibition halls on each floor that showcase the history of Wakimoto Castle in the southern part of Kankofu Mountain, the local area including the Oga Peninsula and Ogata Geological Park, as well as displays related to the flora of Kankofu Mountain. The fourth floor features a circular rotating observation deck that takes about 13 minutes to complete a full rotation. With a 360-degree panoramic view, visitors can see the entire Oga Peninsula, Ogata Village, the Shirakami Mountains, Taiheizan, Chokai Mountain, and Nyuudozaki all at once. The mountain also has three volcanic crater remnants and lava tunnels, where traces of past volcanic activity can still be observed.
