About Dogo Onsen Annex Asukanoyu Spa
A new hot spring resort designed in the style of the Asuka period.
Details
Asuka no Yusen is a place for the dissemination of new onsen culture, opened in 2017. The facility is themed "Taiko Dogo," incorporating the style of Dogo Onsen, said to be Japan's oldest onsen, along with architectural elements from the Asuka period. Guests can fully enjoy the source flow onsen without heating or adding water, featuring many elements such as outdoor baths that are not available in the main building.
Asuka no Yusen offers various bathing packages, each with different accessible baths and lounges. The most luxurious package, the "Second Floor Special Bath (Family Bath)" package, allows access not only to the main large bath but also to a bath and lounge that recreates the royal exclusive bath "Yoshinoden," providing a celebrity-like experience. A unique feature is the opportunity to enter the bath wearing a traditional yukata. After soaking, guests can enjoy tea and snacks in the exclusive lounge for the second-floor special bath.
Throughout the facility, traditional crafts from Ehime, such as Tobe ware, Sakurai lacquerware, and Kikuma tiles, are displayed, immersing visitors in a world filled with artistic beauty.
Highlights
