🍜 Ebisu Yokocho
🎨 Restaurant Gallery
📝 Introduction
A 2-minute walk from Ebisu Station leads you to the retro Showa-era atmosphere of "Inbi" Yokocho.
📖 Details
Ebisu Yokocho is a street filled with 20 dining establishments. It was formerly known as the "Yamashita Shopping Center," a public market, and the Showa era charm is evident from the entrance sign. Each shop is only about 3 to 5 tsubo in size and closely packed together within the alley. This scene evokes nostalgia for older customers while feeling fresh and new for the younger crowd.
Upon entering the alley from the main road, the first place you see is "Charcoal Grill Maruya," where you can enjoy frozen "sharikin" shochu made from "Kinkai." The skewers come with miso sauce, soy sauce, and salt. The relaxed atmosphere, where people of all ages can casually sit down, is highly appreciated.
"Kato Shoten Meat Sushi" is the largest establishment in the alley. Their signature dish is "Horse Sushi," made with fresh horse meat, and they also offer four types of seared beef sushi: lean, tenderloin, flank, and raw. It is recommended to pair it with sparkling wine from Spain.
Additionally, there are direct-operated stores from Hamakura, the planner of Ebisu Yokocho, including "Hama Grill Izakaya Uo〇," "Grill Izakaya Gin〇," and "Beef Izakaya Ozawa Ranch Ushi〇."
There are also other eateries offering delicious dishes such as mushroom cuisine, grilled dishes, and fish skewers that will whet your appetite. Enjoying the Showa atmosphere while hopping between several bars adds to the fun experience.
