🗺️ Hakone Komagatake Aerial Cableway箱根 駒ケ岳ロープウェー

The Hakone Komagatake Aerial Cableway connects the "Hakone-en Station" by Lake Ashi with the "Hakone Komagatake Summit Station." It spans a length of 1,783 meters and takes about 7 minutes for a one-way trip. At the summit of Hakone Komagatake, which is at an elevation of 1,356 meters, there is a viewing plaza where visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers and trees that change with the seasons, providing a delightful experience. From the viewing plaza, you can see Mount Fuji, Sagami Bay, and Shonan Bay, as well as the Izu Peninsula and Suruga Bay. On clear days, the distant Southern Alps can also be seen. Below, the beautiful scenery of Lake Ashi, Moto-Hakone, and Hakone Town unfolds before your eyes. At the viewing plaza, you can also visit the shrine "Hakone Motomiya," which is located at the summit and is the inner shrine of "Hakone Shrine." The current shrine building was reconstructed in 1964 and is known as a famous energy spot. Surrounding the shrine are several stone relics, such as the "Umaori Stone" and "Umatsume Stone," which are said to have been stepped on by a white horse when the deity descended upon this place. If you have enough time, it is recommended to visit Hakone Shrine and Kuzuryu Shrine along the way, to experience a pilgrimage to the three major shrines of Hakone.

The total length is 1,783 meters, connecting the Hakone Garden by Lake Ashi with the Sky Walk of Hakone Komagatake. From the observation plaza at the summit, you can enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji, Shonan Bay, Sagami Bay, and the Izu Peninsula. It is recommended to visit the "Hakone Shrine" at the inner shrine: Hakone Motomiya.
