Japan's oldest Western-style park, the large fountain pool is the landmark of the park.
Details
Opened in 1903, Hibiya Park is Japan's oldest Western-style park. Covering an area of approximately 16 hectares, the spacious grounds feature meticulously maintained trees, lawns, and vibrant flowerbeds, serving as a recreational green space to soothe passersby on the busy streets.
The park's landmark is the large fountain pool located within it. Every day from 8 AM to 9 PM, visitors can enjoy a water show featuring 24 different patterns every 28 minutes. At night, when illuminated, the fountain reaches a height of 12 meters and creates a romantic atmosphere with its colorful lights.
The park also hosts large events such as the "Munich Beer Festival" and the "Christmas Market," and regularly holds various concerts at the outdoor music hall within the park.
