The nickname "Hime-sen" is widely loved by the public and is the top wildlife park in western Japan.
Details
Opened in 1984, this complex facility primarily features a wildlife zoo and amusement park. It is affectionately nicknamed "Hime-sen" and is a representative theme park of the Kansai region.
Visitors can drive into the wildlife zoo to see impressive lions and tall giraffes up close. There is also a tour bus available for sightseeing. Additionally, there is a walking area where guests can not only experience feeding animals but also watch rare white lions and white tigers.
There is also "Chaggy Farm," where visitors can interact with small animals; the "Aerial Wildlife Zoo," which offers a bird's-eye view of the wildlife area via a three-cabin gondola, is also very popular. People of all ages can enjoy these attractions together.
In addition to the wildlife zoo, during the summer, the largest pool in Western Japan, "AQUAREA," is open to visitors. Centered around a 260-meter-long lazy river pool, it features various water slides, including the "Iwakawa Drift," where guests can float downstream on inflatables. Furthermore, in winter, the "Kaze no Machi Ice and Snow Park" opens an ice skating rink.
