The experiences and lessons from the urban earthquake "Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake" that occurred in 1995 are passed down to future generations through this museum.
The two exhibition halls stand adjacent to each other. The "West Hall" plays a reenactment video of the moment the earthquake struck and also displays earthquake-related information provided by affected residents. Through this information, visitors can understand the types of disasters triggered by the earthquake and the living conditions of those affected in the disaster area.
The "East Hall," themed around disaster prevention and emergency preparedness, focuses on interactive exhibits. The "Disaster VR Experience Port" allows visitors to virtually experience earthquakes, tsunamis, and wind and water disasters through 360-degree wide-angle VR videos and vibration devices. The "Mission Activity Room" offers training for evacuation actions taken in realistically recreated homes and convenience stores. This series of related content provides a deep understanding of the principles of natural disasters and the response measures during such events.
Additionally, self-produced video works are shown, exploring the topic of "how to save lives during disasters," which is definitely worth watching. The museum also provides translation devices in English, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese for free rental, and the exhibits are labeled in English, ensuring that international visitors can learn and enjoy their experience.

Yes. The visitor discount prices are 250 yen for 1 hour, 400 yen for 2 hours, and 500 yen for 3 hours. After 3 hours, it is 200 yen for every additional 30 minutes.
