🗺️ Japan Air Self-Defense Force Hamamatsu Public Relations Center (Promotion Hall)

The Air Self-Defense Force Hamamatsu Public Relations Hall (AIR PARK) is an exhibition facility located next to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Hamamatsu Base. Here, visitors can get up close to various real aircraft, including fighter jets, training planes, and helicopters, making it a captivating destination for both adults and children. Inside the hall, there are many exciting attractions. The first floor features display boards introducing the structure and missions of the Air Self-Defense Force, as well as cross-sectional models of fighter jets and engines, allowing visitors to observe the interior of the cockpit. The second floor exhibition hall showcases a lineup of aircraft and missile models, along with displays of pilots' full gear. On the third floor, there are exhibits of a VIP room used in government aircraft and a simple flight simulator, showcasing rare items that can only be seen here. One of the most popular attractions is the dome-shaped "Dome Theater." Visitors can experience the perspective of a pilot as they watch fighter jets flying in the sky. It offers an immersive experience of aircraft soaring at 20,000 feet, delivering a breathtaking spectacle. Another highlight of the hall is the aircraft display area, where visitors can see various fighter jets from the history of the Air Self-Defense Force, the Blue Impulse aircraft, and rescue helicopters. Visitors can also enter the aircraft to experience what it's like for a pilot sitting in the cockpit. Inside the aircraft display area, there is a section dedicated to the Blue Impulse aircraft, showcasing models from various generations. Additionally, visitors can wear VR goggles to experience simulated flight. *The Blue Impulse aircraft are specially designated for the aerobatic team within the Air Self-Defense Force. Furthermore, the outdoor rest area features many play equipment, making it a great spot for children to play while watching planes take off and land from the Hamamatsu Base, providing an excellent photo opportunity.

In the circular-roofed "Dome Theater" within the facility, you can experience a breathtaking sensation as if you were truly there. The exhibition area featuring the Blue Impulse aircraft, which is used by the special flight demonstration team, is quite popular. You can simulate the experience of a pilot operating the aircraft in the aircraft display hangar.
