The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, located in Koto City, Tokyo, is a museum that introduces the latest scientific technologies. Inside the museum, there are humanoid robots like "ASIMO," as well as bionic robots "ALTER" and "OTONAROID," showcasing various near-future technologies and knowledge. Through live performances by the robot "ASIMO," the museum illustrates a future world where humans and robots coexist. It also features bionic robots like "ALTER," which can perform complex movements similar to living organisms, and "OTONAROID," which resembles a real human, guiding visitors to explore and ponder questions such as "What is life?" and "What is humanity?" Such exhibitions are quite rare in the world. The museum includes a research room for an external project group engaged in cutting-edge scientific research. Visitors can glimpse the work of scientists through a corridor that separates it from the permanent exhibition hall, and the museum regularly holds tours of the research room. In the "Dome Theater Gaia," visitors can experience the signs of atmospheric and cosmic movements through high-definition imagery. Here, one can enjoy 3D dome films themed around the "Theory of Everything," such as "The Man from 9-Dimensional Space," as well as a stereoscopic planetarium film depicting the interaction between the universe and daily life, titled "Birthday - Connecting the Universe and Me." While watching the films, English audio guides are available for free rental. The commentary panels and video subtitles in the permanent exhibition are available in both Japanese and English. If using the official smartphone application "Miraikan Note," visitors can also choose audio guide services in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean during their visit.
