About Kagawa Manno Park

The only national park in Shikoku, featuring seasonal flowers and a variety of recreational activities.

Details

Mano Pond is the largest irrigation pond in Japan and is designated as a national scenic spot. The park next to Mano Pond is the only national park in Shikoku. Covering an area of about 350 hectares, the park is a treasure trove of flowers. From spring to autumn, visitors can enjoy the sight of seasonal blooms such as tulips, pink butterflies, hydrangeas, and cosmos. The park is equipped with excellent fitness facilities, including large playgrounds loved by children, grassy squares, bicycle rentals, and dog parks. For outdoor enthusiasts, it is recommended to spend a night at the car camping area, which has camping sites and trailer houses. There are also several attractions that allow visitors to get close to nature, such as the "Shoryu Falls," where water cascades from a height of 9 meters, likened to a flying dragon ascending to the sky, the "Natural Ecology Park," which restores the forest environment, and the "Mano Pond Scenic Trail," perfect for leisurely walks. During the winter, when flower conditions are poor, a lighting event featuring approximately 600,000 bulbs is held, and various activities take place throughout the year. This location is also the venue for the summer outdoor rock music festival "MONSTER baSH" in the Chugoku-Shikoku region.
