📝 Introduction
The gift shop and dining spot stand side by side, making it one of the top tourist destinations in Kamakura.
📖 Details
Kamakura Komachi Street starts from the east exit of Kamakura Station, marked by a red torii gate, and extends about 360 meters north. The street is lined with approximately 250 shops, including those catering to the daily needs of locals, as well as restaurants and gift shops primarily for tourists. This area is one of the key attractions in Kamakura, bustling with activity throughout the year. After the completion of underground power lines in 2013, the narrow street feels even more refreshing.
Just a 3-minute walk from the Enoden "Kamakura" Station, Komachi Street is surrounded by abundant nature with mountains and the sea, featuring many historical and cultural sites, making it a base for sightseeing in Kamakura. There are different attractions to enjoy in every season, and the high percentage of repeat visitors indicates its popularity as a tourist destination. Walking through Komachi Street and turning right leads to the approach to "Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine," lined with cherry blossom trees.
In recent years, Komachi Street has become a treasure trove for those seeking delicious food and desserts. Many shops offer exclusive products available only on Komachi Street. However, eating while walking is prohibited, so please be considerate of others and maintain proper etiquette while enjoying your sightseeing. The road is divided into two lanes, with several hidden gems serving locally caught shirasu (whitebait) and Kamakura vegetables.

Every day feels like a festive celebration in the shopping street. There are also limited edition desserts and products, allowing you to fully enjoy the shopping experience.
