🗺️ Kanazawa Higashiyama Villa

The traditional townhouse, originally a joinery shop established in 1938 (Showa 13), was renovated in 2013 into a shared workspace and retail complex. In 2020, it underwent further renovations to create a more stylish space. On the first floor, there are three shops. "akashu" showcases tableware, pottery, and antique goods created by the owner, who is also a ceramic artist, along with works from young writers; "virus sleeper" sells aromatic sprays made from Noto cypress, which have antibacterial properties; and "hacowotsumu" explores new uses, possibilities, and fun with cardboard boxes. On the second floor, you can participate in a one-day experience of Japanese painting (3,000 yen) and other design activities at "Higashiyama Art Classroom"; as well as embroidery experience classes and brooch making (from 2,200 yen, reservation required) at "amaretto design," allowing you to enjoy various experiences in one location. It is located near the famous tourist spot, Higashi Chaya District, and is recommended to visit while taking a stroll.
