📝 Introduction
You can taste the famous ingredient "鹿屋紅魽" (Kagoshima Red Snapper) at the fishing cooperative cafeteria.
📖 Details
The sister restaurant of the popular eatery located in "Kanoya Port" in the central part of the Osumi Peninsula. Operated by the Kanoya City Fisheries Cooperative, the seafood quality is exceptional. During the day, they offer reasonably priced set meals, while in the evening, it transforms into an izakaya.
The recommended dishes feature the pride of the fisheries cooperative, "Kanoya Red Snapper" (鹿屋紅魽). The Kanoya Red Snapper is raised for two years in sea fish ponds, fed high-quality feed such as sardines. To ensure freshness, it is prepared on the boat just before shipping. With a firm texture and just the right amount of fat, it’s hard to believe it’s farmed fish. In addition to the signature marinated fish rice bowl and grilled fish rice bowl, there are also creative dishes like fish jaw stew with vegetables, Nanban pickles, and hamburger steak.
The fried dishes filled with plump sweet shrimp (姫甘エビ) are also a must-try. On weekends and public holidays, they open at 11 AM, and it often gets crowded right when they open, so it's advisable to be prepared for a wait.
