The zoo located in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, has free admission and houses 50 species of mammals, birds, and reptiles. This small animal park situated on a hillside can be explored in about an hour, making it perfect for a short outing. Visitors are greeted by adorable animals such as the red panda and the ring-tailed lemur. You can also see the endangered Hartmann's mountain zebra and the Nubian ibex with its large horns, among other noteworthy animals. Aquatic creatures like the Humboldt penguin and the Chilean flamingo are also quite popular. The zoo features a playground with a variety of equipment suitable for children, allowing families with young kids to enjoy themselves. From the observation deck named Fujimi Terrace, you can overlook the cityscape of Kawasaki, and on clear days, you can even see Mount Fuji, Mount Oyama, and Chichibu's three treasures. There are benches nearby, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a packed lunch.

The animal park located on Oyama Hill in Kawasaki City has no admission fee. You can observe about 50 species of animals up close. The park features children's playground equipment and a viewing platform with a panoramic view of Mount Fuji. Pets are allowed in the park, but they must be kept on a leash. Pets should not approach the animals, and please adhere to basic rules such as taking your pet's waste back with you.
