🍜 KOMAME Dining Hall

Located in the mountainous area of Shodoshima, the cafeteria café "KOMAME (こまめ) Shokudo" is surrounded by the "Nakayama Senmaida" and the charming rural scenery of Japan. The signature dish, "Terraced Rice Ball Set Meal," features fluffy and soft white rice harvested from the Senmaida, carefully pressed into rice balls, accompanied by side dishes and soup. There are also popular dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, such as Shodoshima somen noodles. The building is said to have been constructed in the early Showa period and was converted from an early rice milling factory. The interior has a warm wooden atmosphere with seating that offers a view of the Senmaida from the terrace. In addition to set meals, the menu includes freshly squeezed fruit juices made from island fruits and handmade desserts, providing a rich variety. For takeout, there are rice ball sets, hamburgers made with Shodoshima olive beef, and the reservation-only "KOMAME Bento." Dining outdoors while enjoying the tranquil scenery offers a unique experience. The café tends to be crowded on weekends and holidays, so it is recommended to make a phone reservation in advance (limited to the morning of the same day).
