Details
The K's LABO tourist facility is a maritime station that provides various travel services for exploring Kitakami Island, located next to the gateway of Kitakami Island—Toyoura Port. Inside, it also offers an essential bicycle rental service for touring the island, and it is recommended to stop by here first after arriving on the island (it’s best to handle the bike rental procedures beforehand).

Here, visitors can learn various professional knowledge about the stone industry of Kitakami Island, as well as the island's development history.
There is also a stone lantern workshop where visitors can experience the craft of making stone lanterns by hand. The experience fee is 1,500 yen, and it takes about 15 minutes. Additionally, there is a souvenir shop filled with various stone goods where you can purchase gifts from Kitakami Island.
In the attached café, you can enjoy a view of the sea. It is recommended to visit the café to enjoy coffee while looking at the sea before exploring the island or while waiting to board.
