🗺️ Kōtsu no Mori Park

The "Kōtsu Zoo," long loved by the citizens of Kitakyushu, has closed and will be renovated and transformed into "Kōtsu no Mori Park" for a reopening. The park is adorned with a variety of flowers, trees, and plants that change with the seasons, such as the sensitive plant in spring and autumn leaves, creating charming scenery that captivates visitors throughout the year. Surrounded by the rich natural beauty of Kōtsu, the park covers an area of 10 hectares and consists of eight zones. The main highlight is the approximately 80 species and 470 animals that are bred and displayed. In areas like "Grassland World" and "Forest Floor World," visitors can observe animals moving freely in habitats that closely resemble their natural environments. Additionally, in the "Interaction Zoo," children can enjoy riding donkeys and petting guinea pigs, which are very popular among young visitors. There are also several zones featuring a lawn plaza, a Ferris wheel, and playground equipment, along with a variety of weekend activities, making it a fun destination for both adults and children. The park includes restaurants and shops, allowing visitors to leisurely spend an entire day there.
