📝 Introduction
Founded over 70 years ago, it is a well-known kushikatsu specialty shop in Osaka.
📖 Details
Located next to the "Open-Air Shrine," the god of achieving good relationships, is the Sonezaki area, one of the bustling shopping districts in Umeda. Established over 70 years ago, it is a renowned specialty shop for kushi-katsu (deep-fried skewers) in Osaka.
The kushi-katsu are light and fluffy, featuring fresh shrimp, pork, and various seasonal ingredients from land and sea. In spring, there are bamboo shoots; in summer, sweetfish; and during the cold winter, pufferfish and crabs, offering an indulgent array of flavors.
Every detail reflects the old shop's dedication to cooking. The batter is made from specially ordered fine breadcrumbs, lightly coated before being quickly deep-fried in a copper pot known for its excellent heat conductivity. After frying, the skewers are spun to remove excess oil, thoroughly implementing techniques passed down through generations.
When enjoying the kushi-katsu, they are served with a variety of condiments, including sauce, ponzu (citrus soy sauce), salt, and dashi soy sauce. Among them, the rich Worcestershire sauce and the spicy sauce are exclusive blends that showcase the shop's meticulous flavor profile. Guests can savor the delicious offerings of this long-established shop in an elegantly tranquil atmosphere.
