The Kyoto Concert Hall, built in 1960, underwent extensive renovations and reopened in 2015 as "ROHM Theatre Kyoto." Located on the second floor, the "Kyoto Modern Terrace" is a café and restaurant that embodies the characteristics of modernist architecture. Ascending the stairs from the first floor, you are greeted by an open space adorned with a tortoise shell design, featuring a ceiling height of 5.7 meters. Not only does it allow light to pour in through large glass windows, but it also offers views of the changing seasons in Kyoto. The terrace, which boasts excellent visibility, has 40 seats and is pet-friendly, allowing you to bring your beloved dog along. For lunch and dinner, a variety of rich meals are available, including "12 Vegetable Pasta," which provides half of the daily recommended vegetable intake, grilled dishes, and salads made with a large amount of seasonal vegetables. You can also enjoy cold brew coffee made from "Ogawa Coffee" beans, specially crafted matcha drinks, and various desserts like French toast made with freshly baked "Shinshin-do" Yamagata toast after placing your order, allowing for a leisurely and pleasant coffee time.
