In the beautiful waters composed of the complex Nagasaki's Suwa Bay coastline and 208 islands, located within the "Ninety-Nine Islands Pearl Ocean Tour Area," you can fully enjoy the rich natural scenery of the Ninety-Nine Islands at the aquarium.
The most striking exhibit, the "Ninety-Nine Islands Bay Large Tank," features rare outdoor tanks along with sandy areas, rocky shores, and reefs, recreating the rich environment of the Ninety-Nine Islands. From the corridor surrounding the tank, you can observe about 120 species and 13,000 individual organisms. There is also the "Ninety-Nine Islands Dolphin Pool," where you can see dolphins, and the "Jellyfish Symphony Hall," which showcases jellyfish from the surrounding waters of the Ninety-Nine Islands through sound and light displays. The aquarium offers a unique opportunity to closely interact with marine life through a variety of colorful exhibits.
Additionally, the Ninety-Nine Islands Aquarium hosts many easy-to-experience activities, such as the "Feeding Observation Tank," where you can feed fish, and the "Pearl Diving Experience," where you can extract pearls from Akoya oysters, among others.
